Each previous generation influences the next, and the same can be said about musicians. It is either through direct contact or via their music on a set of speakers or headphones.  In the case of Jonathan Niday, it was the previous that honed his love for Southern Rock and electric guitars.  While most boys his age (7 years old) played video games or caught frogs with their friends, Jonathan was camped out in this neighbor’s garage amazed by the music their Classic Rock Cover Band was playing.

As he watched the lead guitarist bend his strings, he promised himself he would learn how to play just like him.  “It was my calling man, simple as that,” Jonathan recalled of those days. However, it wasn’t until he was 12 years old that he was finally tall enough to wield the guitar he had dreamed about for most of his childhood.  Once in hand, Jonathan never looked back, like a fish finding its way back to water, he was swimming!

To say Jonathan loves music is an understatement. He loves all aspects of it saying, “Having an impact on people, meeting new people, and having new experiences drew me even closer to the sounds, lifestyle, and effects music has on people.”  Even when he isn’t on stage playing with The Dirty South Band you will find him in his studio laying down new tracks and experimenting with sound.
